”Meedoen. Leren, Winnen” (Dutch for Participate, Learn, Win) is a project we have implemented in the Netherlands in collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation. In six to eight meetings adolescents (14-18 years) learn to organize a street soccer event on a Cruyff Court in their neighborhood in a Dutch city. The project also stimulates sport and integration.
During the organization of the event, the youngsters are guided by a social worker. The Johan Cruyff Institute developed a train-the-trainer course “Meedoen, Leren, Winnen Coach” to help the social workers to dominate the process and materials. After the course the social worker / coach knows his coaching qualities and is able to guide the youngsters.
